abigail's first christmas

tyler abbie and i had such a great christmas! i love the holiday season and im a little sad its over, i felt like it went by so fast!

this christmas was especially exciting because it was abbie's first one.

one of the first things we did this season was go to nana and grandpa smith's and help decorate the christmas tree!

and santa came on christmas eve this year! we opened presents on christmas eve because we are out visiting family all day on christmas! and this is what santa brought abbie;

a new exerciser!

then after we opened presents at our house went headed down to idaho falls for the annual spaulding family christmas eve party! its usually at my mom's house but this year it was at my aunt karen's. it was so much fun and this year for the first time ever the stanger family was able to come and that was so nice to have them with us on christmas!

after the party we headed back to my parents house so we could open our christmas ever presents (which is always pajamas).

then we stayed the night at my parents house. and normally my brother cameron and i are up and ready to go by 4am and we are begging tyler and my other brother zach to get up so we can open presents but this year i dont know what happened to me (maybe its being a new parent) but i didnt want to get up until 630! and even then i really didnt want to get up but cameron had already tried to get us to start opening presents twice!

we had such a nice christmas with my family. it so fun to open presents with abbie. i am very thankful for everything my parents got our family and i had so much fun at their house.

then after we got all cleaned up, we headed back to blackfoot to hang out with the smith family. that is always a good time. we got there right on time for dinner so that was good! and abbie opened her presents from nana and grandpa smith. then we did the cousins present and jen's son cameron had abigails name and got her some really fun toys that we are excited about! then we stayed there and played games for a few hours and that was lots of fun!

all in all we had a great christmas and i am so thankful for everything we were given and everything we were able to give and i am so thankful for our families and the wonderful things they bring into our lives!

so on saturday tyler and i headed to utah to visit jen and james and the kids. i love going to visit them. we just dont get to see them as often as the rest of family. first ty and me and abbie and jen and mom went shopping. tyler thought he could shop with the girls, but after 2 hours he was done (so if u didnt already guess, he doesnt want to come on black friday). so we went back to jen's house and played Rockband (Andrew just got it for his birthday). and i have decided that it is a pretty fun game. it was fun to listen to people sing and play the drums and guitar! i was pretty bad, i had to be on 'easy' for everything! the next day andrew was getting ordained a deacon and i am so happy we could be there to see it. a lot of family was at jen's house to support and andrew, including james' parents. james' dad joked about abbie and said they are so cute when they are little and then they grow up to be brats! and then james pointed to andrew and said that abbie was going to turn out just like him. and i just told james that andrew is a pretty dang good kid and i wouldnt mind that at all if abbie turns out like him! i am so proud of Andrew and i cant believe he is twelve already! i had such a good weekend at the Hatch house and i feel bad because ty and i stayed FOREVER hanging out playing Rockband! but we were just having so much fun! so thanks for letting us stay Jen!

Abbie's Blessing

ok so im a little behind on getting this post up. Tyler blessed Abigail on Novemeber 9. I was really worried about something happening to her dress so i got her up and fed her and tried to get all of the spit up out of her before i put her in the dress. She looked so pretty! so we got her over to the church and sat in our seats while abbie was asleep. i was hoping she would just stay asleep all through sacrament, but right as Tyler took her up to be blessed, she decided she wanted to wake up. She was wide awake through the whole blessing and she was an angel, just looking around (and most importantly not making a sound). So Tyler gave her a beautiful blessing and then he came sat down next to me again. We tried to get abbie asleep but it wasnt happening, and then all of the sudden she did it. she spit up all over her blessing dress. down the front, down the back, in the slip.. EVERYWHERE! after i got over the initial shock of what she had just done i looked up at abbie's face to see her grinning from ear to ear, covered in spit up.. she is such as stinker but there was no way i could be mad at that face! : )

Family Pictures

So we got some family pictures taken at sears on the day Abbie was three weeks old because my mom has pictures of me on the day that i was three weeks old so i thought it would be nice to have some of her then too. Well i love my pictures but i was VERY unhappy with the overall experience. so i wouldnt reccommend sears to anyone! but i do love my pictures :)
